The new budget conscious MDT Field Stock has just been released by MDT and is available for order starting from a mere $299.95. Essentially a stock / chassis hybrid polymer stock MDT has designed and built it from the ground up with the budget-conscious or entry-level shooter or hunter in mind.

“We create a lot of premium chassis solutions, but we also wanted to create something that was awesome for entry level shooters who are just thinking about getting into precision shooting and provide them with the platform that has all the necessary features they need. We looked at the XRS, we had to redesign from the ground up. Basically simplifying the XRS as much as possible. We could jig the manufacturing methods and then gave it like a new look because it was originally the XRS light. So it turned more and more into it’s own product.” according to Remy Godzisz, Industrial Designer at Modular Driven Technologies (MDT).

It features aluminum v-block bedding, which allows your rifle action to be torqued down and that provides a much more stable base for that action, the free floating forend prevents the barrel from touching the rifle stock, also ensuring shot to shot consistency no matter the temperature, which allows for more repeatable accuracy. The buttstock comes with adjustable length of pull spacers and an adjustable cheek riser, allowing you to set it up perfectly every time that you want to go shooting. So whether you’re shooting in the winter and you’re wearing lots of clothes or you transition to the summer, and you just need t-shirt or your out shooting a match and your carrying it on the back, you can set it up for the perfect eye-relief and position to suit you.
The Field Stock has M-LOK slots along the side and underneath of the fore-end, so you can use those to mount a lot of modern M-lok compatible accessories, like picatinny rails, Arca rails and more. This allows modern types of bipod mounts to be used on this stock, like an Arca rail to mount it to a tripod for competition or hunting use. It also comes standard with two sling swivel studs, so you can easily attach any sort or sling, or a bipod that attached to a swivel stud. The MDT field stock also converts your rifle to use standard AICS pattern magazines, they are quickly becoming the standard for both hunting and competition detachable box magazines.
